Live online classes on Judaism?

Sep 26, 2025

Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) is the only Jewish holiday that is two days long even in Israel. (Other holidays are one day here, but two days each in the Diaspora.) And now that the holiday is over, and before Shabbat (the Sabbath) begins, it's a good time to reflect a bit on hopes and goals for the new year.

A good number of students who watched the first (free!) lesson of my Introduction to Judaism course grabbed the pre-Rosh Hashanah sale for the full course. Some of them are non-Jews thinking about conversion to Judaism. Some are Jews who want to learn what they didn't as kids. All are adults who want to learn deeply and authentically what Judaism is all about.

I wrote today to all my students to ask if there's interest in live classes in addition to my recorded lessons. And I'm posting here as well to see if this resonates. Would you like the option for live online classes on Judaism in addition to the video lessons at Judaism Online?

In a live class, you could ask questions, take an active part, and interact with other students. That's the plus side.

The minus side is that the live classes would have to be on a schedule, say Sunday evenings Jerusalem time, which would allow those of you in Europe and North America to take part.
